UWU Channel Radiance — Press Text

UWU Channel Radiance (2020) comprises an altar-like structure of seven monitors and a pelvis-shaped fabric sculpture. As in all her works, the artist takes the lead role as the bold newscaster Sybil, named after the ancient Greek female oracle σίβυλλα Sibylla, reciting cryptic non-linear prophecies and parables. These ‘news’ stories are shaped by self-help online forums, art-related press releases as well as by mythological and folkloric narratives, which the artist transformed together with the performers.
